The tournament tracking software
The Blind Adrenaline tournament tracking system will let registered players enter our tournaments and keep track of the results and rounds automatically, helping to make tournaments much more fun and easier to manage.
Once you register, your name will be included in the database and you will be able to sign up to all future tournaments.
This system is capable of handling any game, not just Rail Racer, because the players themselves enter the match results into the web based system.
Also, if you have notifications turned on and a valid email address, an email will be sent to you whenever a new tournament is started.

Tournament instructions
After registering with the system, you are ready to join a tournament.
The tournament system will send you an email when a new competition is started, so make sure your email address is correct.
To join, go to the all tournaments link, then click on the name of the tournament you want to join. You can also check the status of the tournament here, if it is open for registration or if it is already underway.
Tournaments that have already begun cannot be joined in progress, so you will have to wait for another one to start if you miss the registration.
After the tournament has started, which is usually a few days after registration opens, you will be randomly pitted against one of the other racers.
The tournament system does not automatically schedule races, as it is an international game, and locking into a particular time slot would make things difficult.
Therefore, racers get in contact with their opponent for each round and decide a time to meet online and race, this way each racer can compete at a convenient time for them.
The best way to communicate with your opponent is to use the built in match messaging system.
To do this, go to your match page link underneath where it lists you and your opponent, and find the heading "Post a message".
Simply enter a message here, submit it and your opponent can read it when they log in.
Similarly, you can find out what they say on this message page.
Feel free to swap other contact info if you like, such as messenger or skype addresses to make setting up your match easier.
Once a time is agreed upon, either player can start the race on the track for that round.
The track for the current round is shown on the main tournament page.
Most racers choose to run a best 2 out of 3 for each round, so when one racer wins 2 races on that particular track, they are the winner of that round.
If you want to run a sudden death style, where the winner of the first race is the winner of the round, that is fine, but both racers must agree to this.
If no agreement can be reached on how to run the round between you and your opponent, the default of best 2 out of 3 will be used.
After a winner is determined, go to your match page and submit the winner.
Either contestant can do this.
If you feel you won the round, but your opponent puts themselves in as winner, click the dispute button and an administrator will decide the result.
Once all races for the current round have been decided, the next round will begin.
The tournament will continue in this manner until there is only one person left.
The tournament can be one of two styles, either single round elemination or double elimination.
If the style is single elimination, you are out of the tournament when you lose a round, if it is double, you must lose two rounds to be eliminated.
The tournament page has a general message board as well, where your messages will be sent to all participants, which can be a lot of fun for talking smack and discussing your bad beats.
The general messaging system is also the best place to ask any questions you may have, as admins check this board frequently during a tournament.
Most racers enjoy the tournament feature of Rail Racer the most, as it affords a friendly and competitive environment to test your racing skills against others, so don't be shy about signing up, we are all here to have a good time and help out, and there are plenty of novice racers in every tournament.
Happy racing!
